As one of the graphic novel zines in the "Future Forecast" project, The Forgotten Night draws inspiration from the setting of Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? to explore the alienation between humans and nature in a future technological society.
Set in a fast-paced metropolis, the protagonist feels a profound sense of loneliness when her electronic pet cat malfunctions and artificial plants fail. The story reveals how the emotional connection between humans and nature fades as technology dominates.
This project offers a thoughtful reflection on the cost of technological advancement in modern society, gently critiquing humanity's disconnection from nature in a rapidly evolving world. It invites the audience to reconsider their relationship with technology and nature, pondering how to preserve a sense of connection to the natural world in a technology-driven future.
